A week ago, the first session of the Advanced Studies in HRM course took place. A group of 11 PhD candidates working at different universities in the Netherlands, Belgium, Austria and Italy joined the first on-campus session of the PhD-level HRM course.

This first two sessions were held on-campus at Tilburg University, the Netherlands. All PhD students were very happy to meet each other and the professors in person after a long period of working from home. As always, the group is extremely motivated and eager to broaden and deepen their knowledge on HRM related topics.

In the first session PhD students, together with host instructors prof. van Veldhoven and dr. Karina van de Voorde, discussed the topic of “HRM, employee outcomes, and organizational performance”. Next week, they are challenged with the topic of “Change management in the public sector”, hosted by prof. Bram Steijn.

The upcoming months students will follow another seven dedicated sessions on HR-related topics, ranging from “HRM & artificial intelligence” to “Sustainable careers”. More information can be found here.
